Early projects

I realized this weekend that I need more space but since that's not an option, I need to get rid of some items. Deciding to purchase a one-bedroom condo was probably not such a good idea... especially since the idea of letting go of clothes, shoes, and purses (even if I haven't worn/used them in years) gives me pause.

Anywho, I've decided that I'll attempt to reconstruct some of the items and use then to make clothing for my furbabies.

That way I'll be able to save money (dog clothing can be pretty pricey) and practice sewing (yay)!

What cute babies you have!! Have you finished the McCall's dress yet? That looks like a cute simple one to start with. I think I'll find a sewing class to take too. I haven't touched a sewing machine in over 10 years so a class would be a good way to get started.

Thanks Allecia! They're both spoiled rotten too.

I never did finish the McCalls dress (it's becoming a sewing trend for me). The envelope said it's a loose fitting garment but since I based the size on my bust measurement all the other measurements were off. I saw something on another blog about a tool called a French Curve/Seam which can be used to grade pattern sizes together. I need to find one because I have a feeling I'll run into this often.
